Wood brings grain and tonal variation. Different species, cuts and finishes create different appearances. Solid wood and wood veneer are distinct constructions, so confirm the details of the piece you are considering.
Veneer is a thin layer of wood applied to a supporting core. It offers the appearance and grain of wood, while the core and finish affect how the piece is made and cared for. Veneer does not mean solid wood throughout.
Painted finishes provide a colour-led surface rather than exposed wood grain. Duco-style finishes may be offered on selected pieces; the base material, coating and colour should be confirmed for the individual product.
Matte diffuses light for a softer look. Satin has a gentle reflection, while gloss produces a more visible shine. Appearance depends on light and colour; the sheen alone does not establish durability or scratch resistance.
Weave, texture and colour change how upholstered furniture looks and feels. Confirm the fabric used on your selected piece and follow its specific care instructions. A photograph cannot show every texture or colour variation.
Lighting and screen settings can change the appearance of colour, grain and sheen. If an exact match matters, contact us to discuss the available reference or sample options before ordering.
